  1. Save energy to save money.
    • Set your thermostat a few degrees lower in the winter and a few degrees higher in the summer to save on heating and cooling costs.
    • Install compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) when your older incandescent bulbs burn out.
    • Unplug appliances when you're not using them. Or, use a "smart" power strip that senses when appliances are off and cuts "phantom" or "vampire" energy use.
    • Wash clothes in cold water whenever possible. As much as 85 percent of the energy used to machine-wash clothes goes to heating the water.
    • Use a drying rack or clothesline to save the energy otherwise used during machine drying.
  2. Save water to save money.
    • Take shorter showers to reduce water use. This will lower your water and heating bills too.
    • Install a low-flow showerhead. They don't cost much, and the water and energy savings can quickly pay back your investment.
    • Make sure you have a faucet aerator on each faucet. These inexpensive appliances conserve heat and water, while keeping water pressure high.
    • Plant drought-tolerant native plants in your garden. Many plants need minimal watering. Find out which occur naturally in your area.
  3. Less gas = more money (and better health!).
    • Walk or bike to work. This saves on gas and parking costs while improving your cardiovascular health and reducing your risk of obesity.
    • Consider telecommuting if you live far from your work. Or move closer. Even if this means paying more rent, it could save you money in the long term.
    • Lobby your local government to increase spending on sidewalks and bike lanes. With little cost, these improvements can pay huge dividends in bettering your health and reducing traffic.

  5. Skip the bottled water.
  6. Think before you buy.

     
    • Go online to find new or gently used secondhand products. Whether you've just moved or are looking to redecorate, consider a service like craigslist or FreeSharing to track down furniture, appliances, and other items cheaply or for free.
    • Check out garage sales, thrift stores, and consignment shops for clothing and other everyday items.
    • When making purchases, make sure you know what's "Good Stuff" and what isn't.
    • Watch a video about what happens when you buy things. Your purchases have a real impact, for better or worse.
  7. Borrow instead of buying.
    • Borrow from libraries instead of buying personal books and movies. This saves money, not to mention the ink and paper that goes into printing new books.
    • Share power tools and other appliances. Get to know your neighbors while cutting down on the number of things cluttering your closet or garage.
  8. Buy smart.
    • Buy in bulk. Purchasing food from bulk bins can save money and packaging.
    • Wear clothes that don't need to be dry-cleaned. This saves money and cuts down on toxic chemical use.
    • Invest in high-quality, long-lasting products. You might pay more now, but you'll be happy when you don't have to replace items as frequently (and this means less waste!).

Ternyata Opel Blazer Nggak Boros

Brader sekalian, saat pertama kali mendengar Opel Blazer yang beratnya 2 ton dan bermesin 2200cc maka yang terbayang dalam benak kita adalah sebuah mobil yang boros, alias haus minum bensin.
Tapi setelah dicoba ternyata semua itu hanya mitos belaka, ya ketika si Opel Blazer kita pakai di tengah perkotaan boleh jadi boros itu benar, namun ketika untuk touring ke luar kota ternyata si opel ini bisa 11-12 atau bahkan sama dengan Kijaxx.

Saat James Bons mencoba Blazer lansiran 97 dari Cirebon ke Magetan-Madiun ternyata si opel hanya minum bensin sekitar seharga Rp. 250.000 dalam kondisi macetnya lebaran Idul Fitri.
Lalu ketika dalam kondisi lancar si Opel Blazer hanya minum kurang dari Rp. 200.000, sekitar Rp. 180.000-an lah.  Padahal mampir-mampir lo nggak langsung tujuan.

Tentunya bila si Opel ini dijalankan dengan tidak stop n go alias jangan suka main-main gas maka si Ople bakalan irit.
Sebagai bandingan Si Avanxx dari Jakarta Madiun biasanya menghabiskan sekitar Rp. 250-300 ribuan, lalu si blazer ternyata tak jauh dari itu, Jakarta Cirebon sekitar Rp. 130 Ribuan, lalu ditambah Cirebon-Madiun sekitar Rp. 180.000-an - 200.000-an, total sekitar Rp. 300-350 ribuan, haa nggak jauh kan ama Avanxx.

*) Komentar Saya: 
Berdasarakan pengalaman pemakaian,
- Perjalanan dari Jakarta (Depok) menuju Bandung, mampir dulu di Cikarang... Jarak yang ditempuh sejauh 210km ternyata menghabiskan bensin 21liter, didapat 1 : 10. Artinya 1 liter dapat menempuh 10km. (Awal berangkat bensin sudah diisi full tank dulu).
- Ketika Perjalanan Bandung ke Kuningan... jalan biasa tdk pakai Tol, untuk jarak tempuh 96km bensin yg digunakan adalah 13.3 liter, didapat 1 : 7,2. Artinya dijalanan biasa ada macet2, sering berhenti 1 liter dapat menempuh 7,2 km.
- Mau irit di kota... beli mobil Citycar saja, engine 1.000cc bobot kendaraan 600kg, ukuran body stengahnya Blazer.
=> Mau pakai Blazer... Jangan mikirin bensin. Itu Konsekwensi yg harus dinikmati xixixi :)

10 Penyebab Kendaraan Menjadi Boros

Borosnya bensin atau bahan bakar sangat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, misalnya seperti gaya atau perilaku pengemudi atau mungkin memang ada masalah pada kendaraan itu sendiri.
Nah, cobalah luangkan waktu untuk memeriksa beberapa penyebab borosnya bahan bakar atau bensin kendaraan Anda.

Berikut ini 10 penyebab kendaraan menjadi boros :
1. Knalpot bocor Knalpot bocor berpengaruh besar pada suara kendaraan menjadi kasar dan keras, knalpot bocor sama seperti mengganti sistem gas buang model free flow sehingga gas buang menjadi lebih lancar dari standar. Hal ini membuat mesin menghisap bensin lebih banyak ke dalam ruang bakar. 

2. Ban halus atau botak Selain mengurangi daya cengkeram sehingga membahayakan, permukaan ban yang halus akan memaksa mesin bekerja lebih keras agar traksi kendaraan memenuhi kebutuhan penggunanya. 

3. Tekanan angin ban Menurut survei, sekitar 40,6% pemilik kendaraan tidak memperhatikan tekanan angin ban kendaraan. Tekanan ban yang kurang selain dapat menyebabkan konsumsi bahan bakar boros juga bisa menyebabkan pecah ban. 

4. Oli mesin, transmisi dan gardan Kebanyakan pemilik kendaraan lebih mengutamakan penggantian oli mesin ketimbang oli transmisi dan oli gardan. Untuk diketahui bahwa dengan memperhatikan masa penggantian oli transmisi dan gardan maka gesekan di komponen drave train akan tetap minimal sehingga kerja mesin jelas lebih ringan. 

5. Bearing roda Bearing roda yang sudah bermasalah akan menimbulkan suara dengung pada kecepatan tinggi, jika hal ini tetap disepelekan maka dapat dipastikan konsumsi bahan bakar akan tersedot lebih banyak karena putaran roda yang kurang lancar. 

6. Kompresor AC, water pump dan bearing alternator Saat kompresor AC bekerja, tenaga mesin akan tersita hingga 5 dk bahkan lebih. Bagi mesin bertenaga besar, mungkin angka ini tidak terlalu berpengaruh. Tapi untuk mesin dengan tenaga kecil, AC sangat berpengaruh pada performa. Belum lagi jika bearing kompresor juga rusak, beban mesin akan semakin bertambah. Tak hanya itu, alternator dan water pump juga memiliki dampak serupa jika bearing-nya tidak bekerja dengan normal. 

7. Spooring Meluruskan sudut-sudut pada roda kendaraan memiliki dampak penghematan bahan bakar yang signifikan. Selain memperpanjang umur komponen suspensi seperti tie-rod, bearing dan ban, spooring atau wheel alignment mampu mengefisienkan penggunaan bahan bakar. Dengan menyetel sudut roda sesuai aturan, gesekan ban terhadap aspal akan diminimalkan. 

8. Rem bermasalah Korosi di dalam sistem rem akan menyebabkan piston di kaliper tidak kembali ke posisi semula setelah rem diinjak. Hasilnya, kampas rem akan lebih bergesekan dengan cakram atau teromol, hal ini jelas membuat putaran roda menjadi lebih berat dan tidak lancar. 

9. Kabel busi bocor Selain dapat memicu kebakaran kendaraan, kabel busi yang bocor dapat membuat arus ke busi tidak optimal. Dampaknya bensin tidak terbakar dengan sempurna dan terbuang sia-sia, terutama di putaran mesin rendah. 

10. Injektor atau karburator kotor Rutinlah untuk melakukan penyemprotan pada injektor untuk jenis mesin berpasokan bahan bakar injeksi. Begitu pula dengan yang menggunakan karburator, agar air-fuel ratio ideal dapat tercapai dengan sempurna.

Audit Surveillance ke-2 ISO 9001 : 2008 di SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan

Audit Surveillance ke-2  ISO 9001 : 2008 di SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan.

Untuk memastikan Penerapan dan Implementasi Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001 : 2008 di SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan... maka pada hari Kamis (30 Mei 2013) Auditor dari PT. TUV Jakarta melakukan Audit Surveillance yg ke-2 di SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan. 

SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan menerapkan Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001 sejak TP. 2007-2008 saat itu ada kaitannya dengan Program Pemerintah dalam pengembangan pendidikan yaitu RSBI.

Meskipun Program RSBI sudah tamat pada Awal tahun 2013 dengan Pembatalan oleh MK, tapi SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan tetap menerapkan ISO 9001 karena banyak sekali manfaatnya untuk Siswa, Guru dan Karyawan, Manjemen dan administrasi pada semua Unit Kerja. 

Metode Audit: Diskusi Wawancara, Pengecekan Dokumen, Observasi Langsung ke Lokasi Audit.

Kartu Jakarta Sehat dan Rencana Pemakzulan Jokowi

VIVAnews - Kisruh Kartu Jakarta Sehat mengancam posisi Joko Widodo sebagai Gubernur DKI Jakarta. DPRD DKI Jakarta berencana menggunakan hak impeachment atau pemakzulan. Mereka menganggap Jokowi tak mampu menyelesaikan masalah jaminan kesehatan masyarakat.

Niat impeachment sendiri sudah digulirkan DPRD sejak dua hari lalu. Kemarin anggota Komisi Bidang Kesehatan DPRD DKI Jakarta Asraf Ali menegaskan ancaman ini. Ia mengatakan sudah mengumpulkan 32 tanda tangan anggota DPRD yang akan memakzulkan mantan walikota Solo ini. Mereka yang membubuhkan tanda tangan adalah anggota Fraksi Demokrat, PPP, Hanura, PDS, PAN, PKB, dan Golkar.

Penggalangan tanda tangan ini didorong rencana mundurnya 16 rumah sakit pelaksana program KJS. Dewan merespon semua keluhan rumah sakit akibat sistem pembayaran INA CBG's yang diterapkan.

Indonesia Case Base Groups atau INA CBGs adalah tarif paket dalam program Jaminan Kesehatan Masyarakat (Jamkesmas) berdasarkan jenis penyakit atau diagnosis dan prosedur pelayanan yang berkaitan dengan mutu serta efektivitas pelayanan. Kebijakan ini juga untuk pengendalian biaya rumah sakit.

Pada paket ini, Pemprov DKI harus membayar premi asuransi kesehatan kepada PT Askes sebesar Rp23.000 per kepala per bulan. Namun premi ini dinilai tak layak. Karena itu, 16 rumah sakit rekanan menyatakan mengundurkan diri.

Namun, Jokowi menanggapi santai munculnya isu impeachment ini. "DPRD mau impeachment, ya silakan. Saya siap saja kok," katanya di Balai Kota, Jumat, 24 Mei 2013.

Ia menjelaskan DPRD mempunyai banyak hak untuk mengkritisi. Menurutnya, semua sistem punya fungsi dan kebijakan. Fungsi legislatif hanya melakukan pengawasan, tidak menjalankan program.

Jokowi menilai bahwa ancaman itu salah sasaran. Menurutnya, akar permasalahan KJS, yaitu INA CBG's, bukanlah tanggung jawab Pemprov DKI semata.

"INA CBG's itu tugasnya Kemenkes. KJS hanya dijadikan percontohan pemerintah pusat sebelum diberlakukan secara nasional," katanya.

Jokowi menjelaskan ada ketidaksamaan nilai biaya pelayanan kesehatan antar rumah sakit. Ongkos layanan ini juga menyangkut satus dari rumah sakit dari tipe A hingga D. Selain itu ada perbedaan dalam tindakan medis terhadap sebuah penyakit.

"Contohnya, tindakan medis. Misalnya sakit perut ada yang diputuskan dioperasi, ada dengan obat. Sistem itu yang diperbaiki. Bukan KJS-nya," kata Jokowi.

Sedangkan untuk biaya layanan, Jokowi mencontohkan ongkos cuci darah. Di RS A biayanya Rp2 juta. Di RS B biayanya Rp1 juta dan di RS C biayanya Rp600 ribu. "Ini harus distandarkan. Kalau semua sama Rp2 Juta, anggarannya jebol," katanya.

Belagu dan ngawur
Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama justru mempertanyakan niat pemakzulan ini. "Kalau mau tanya, ya panggil kami saja. Hak tanya saja dibilang pemakzulan. Belagu banget," kata Ahok, sapaan Basuki, di Balai Kota.

Justru Ahok mempertanyakan bagaimana upaya itu dilakukan. Provinsi itu terdiri dari pemerintah dan DPRD. "Ini bukan seperti hubungan DPR dengan presiden. Ini beda," tuturnya.

Mantan Bupati Belitung ini menjelaskan DPRD memang mempunyai banyak hak. Namun dalam permasalahan ini, DPRD juga bisa menggunakan hak interpelasi yang merupakan hak meminta keterangan.

Ketua Fraksi Partai Gerindara DPRD DKI Jakarta Muhammad Sanusi justru mempertanyakan rencana impeachment ini. Menurut Sanusi ancaman pemakzulan itu berlebihan. "Interpelasi silakan saja, ini kan bagian dari demokrasi. Kami tidak dapat membendung. Tapi kalau impeachment, terlalu ngawur," katanya.

Sanusi menjelaskan, untuk melakukan pemakzulan, harus menempuh jalur yang panjang. Tidak bisa dengan mudah. Gubernur dalam tata tertib dan undang-undang, kata Sanusi, dapat dimakzulkan jika meninggal dunia dan melakukan pelanggaran berat. "Menurut saya gagasan ini, ya terlalu ngawur," katanya.

Hak interpelasi menurutnya wajar, untuk meminta penjelasan dari gubernur sendiri. Tapi, kata dia, persoalan Kartu Jakarta Sehat (KJS) sudah dibahas Komisi E bersama Dinas Kesehatan dan 16 rumah sakit yang mengundurkan diri dari program KJS. "Saya rasa sudah selesai," katanya.

Karena itu, Fraksi Gerindra dengan tegas menolak usulan pemakzulan terhadap Gubernur Jokowi. "Bagi fraksi ini semua masalah sudah selesai dalam pertemuan kemarin. Makanya kami tak akan ikut dalam upaya penggalangan ini," katanya.

Senada dengan Gerindra, Ketua Fraksi Partai Demokrat Jhony Wenas menegaskan, kisruh soal KJS sudah selesai dibahas. Sehingga, tidak diperlukan lagi interpelasi, bahkan pemakzulan.

"Ini sudah diselesaikan. Terus apa lagi yang mau ditanyakan ke gubernur," ujarnya.

Jhony Wenas menilai jika usulan yang tengah digadang anggota adalah usulan personal anggota, bukan fraksi ataupun partai. "Ya itu kan hak interpelasi. Hak perorangan yang dimiliki anggota DPRD," katanya. (eh)

HCS dalam bentuknya sekarang adalah penemuan dari seorang putra Yogyakarta yaitu bapak Yuhariyono atau lebih dikenal dengan Pakdehari. Sehari-hari beliau adalah bekerja di radio Geronimo, Yogya, tapi diwaktu senggangnya beliau senang bereksperimen khususnya yang berkaitan dengan enerji. Selain HCS hasil eksperimen beliau dapat dilihat di Youtube, silakan search dengan kata kunci “pakdehari”. Temuan terakhir beliau adalah membuat aki/baterai dengan gerabah.

HCS masuk ke ranah publik, khususnya di internet melalui Forum Detik Juni 2008. Di usianya yang ke 3, HCS telah sampai ke versi 4. Sejak versi 1 hingga yang terakhir telah terpasang di ribuan kendaraan (mobil dan motor) dan tersebar di seluruh Indonesia.

Kami sebagai salah satu penyalur dari alat tersebut melakukan sedikit inovasi pada selang penyalur uap BBM (menggunakan rubber silicon hose) dengan kekuatan temperatur sampai dengan 220 C untuk menambah keamanan pada alat tersebut, dan packingnya. Untuk pembuatan catalisnya murni produk dari Pak De Hari. Kami melihat bahwa HCS penghemat BBM merupakan alat penghemat yang teruji, murah, dan terjangkau.

Hasil UN SMA dan SMK, 99,48 % Siswa di Indonesia Mulus Lulus

Jakarta - Kementerian Pendidikan dan kebudayaan Indonesia mengumumkan hasil ujian nasional (UN) SMA dan SMK se Indonesia. Sebanyak 99,48 persen siswa dinyatakan lulus ujian.

"Tahun ini peserta UN SMA sebanyak 1.581.286 siswa. Dan 1.573.036 siswa atau 99,48 persen dinyatakan lulus dan 8.250 atau 0,52 persen siswa tidak lulus," ujar Mendikbud, M Nuh, dalam jumpa pers di Kemendikbud, Jl Sudirman, Jakarta Selatan, Kamis (23/5/2013).

Nuh mengatakan, untuk siswa SMK tingkat kelulusan sebanyak 99,95 persen. Menurutnya hanya 0,5 persen siswa SMK seluruh Indonesia yang dinyatakan tidak lulus.

"Hasil tersebut mengalami kenaikan dari hasil UN tahun lalu sebesar 0,02 persen," ujarnya.

Nuh mengatakan, kebanyakan para siswa yang tidak lulus karena nilai rata-rata ujianya tidak mencapai 5,5. Dan ketidak lulusan juga dikarenakan faktor ada mata pelajaran yang kurang dari 4.

"Paling banyak itu karena rata-ratanya kurang dari 5,5," imbuhnya.

Optional digital unit, UT-118
The optional UT-118 provides digitally modulated and demodulated clear voice and data communication at 4.8kbps. Store up to 6 of your own callsigns, and up to 6 more from other stations. Rani Mengaku Diberi Fathanah Rp10 Juta untuk Hubungan Intim

VIVAnews - Maharani Suciono mengaku diajak berhubungan intim oleh Ahmad Fathanah, tersangka korupsi kuota impor daging sapi di Kementerian Pertanian. Maharani merupakan mahasiswa universitas swasta di Jakarta yang bersama Ahmad Fathanah saat dibekuk Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi pada 29 Januari lalu.
Hal ini terungkap dalam persidangan terdakwa kasus suap pengaturan kuota impor sapi dengan terdakwa Arya Abdi Effendi dan Juard Effendi di Pengadilan Tindak Pidana Korupsi, Jakarta, Jumat 17 Mei 2013.

Awalnya hakim bertanya soal pertemuan Rani dengan Fathanah saat itu. Rani mengaku, sebelumnya ia ditelepon untuk bertemu di Hotel Le Meridien. "Jam 5 saya berangkat dari tempat teman. Sampai sana jam setengah 6. Lupa pokoknya lewat dari jam 5," kata dia.

Keduanya bertemu di kafe yang ada di hotel tersebut. Setelah berbincang sebentar, Fathanah kemudian mengajak Rani ke atas. Mereka naik ke lantai 17 dan masuk ke kamar 1740. "Tidak lama petugas KPK datang. Yang buka pintu Pak Ahmad," katanya.

Saat persidangan, jaksa M Rum mempertanyakan imbalan Rp10 juta yang diberikan Ahmad Fathanah kepada Rani.

Uang itu dari mana, tanya jaksa kepada Rani. "Dikasih Pak Ahmad," jawab Rani.
Saat ditanya lagi untuk keperluan apa uang sebesar itu, Rani berkilah. "Tidak tahu, saya dikasih Pak Ahmad Rp10 juta," kata dia.

Namun jaksa belum puas dengan jawaban Rani. "Izin yang mulia, di poin BAP No 6 ini ada pertanyaan apakah saudara diajak berhubungan intim oleh AF?" tanya Jaksa itu kepada Rani.

Tidak bisa berkilah lagi, Rani menjawab, "Iya, untuk menemani Pak Ahmad."
"Dikasih uang itu katanya untuk itu (berhubungan intim)?" tanya jaksa lagi. Pertanyaan ini kembali dijawab, "Iya."

Rani juga ditanya awal perkenalan dengan Fathanah. Kata Rani, ia kenal Fathanah sehari sebelumnya di salah satu mal Jakarta. "Lagi makan siang, ada Pak Ahmad Fathanah di situ, cuma saya nggak begitu paham. Nggak kenalan secara langsung. Saya hmad Fathanah, saya pengusaha, seperti itu saja," kata Rani.

Anda punya proyek? "Oh nggak," jawab Rani.

Maharani yang mengenakan blus putih dan celana panjang hitam ke PN Tipikor  sedang bersama Fathanah saat KPK menangkapnya di Hotel Le Meridien pada 29 Januari. Saat itu KPK menyita uang sebanyak Rp10 juta yang diberikan Fathanah kepada lajang berambut panjang ini. Namun setelah menjalani pemeriksaan, Maharani dinyatakan tidak terbukti dan dilepaskan penyidik. (umi)

KENDARI, KOMPAS.com — Laporan hasil pemeriksaan (LHP) aliran dana mencurigakan di rekening salah satu anggota kepolisian dengan inisial LS yang merupakan anggota Kepolisian Resor Sorong berpangkat Ajun Inspektur Satu (Aiptu) telah diserahkan kepada pihak kepolisian.

Wakil Kepala Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Keuangan (PPATK) Agus Santoso, Kamis (16/5/2013), saat kunjungannya di Kendari, mengatakan, pihaknya telah menyerahkan laporan hasil pemeriksaan terhadap dana mencurigakan di rekening polisi berpangkat Aiptu sebesar Rp 1,5 triliun.

"Terkait kasus tersebut, kami sudah menyerahkan LHP kepada pihak kepolisian untuk dilakukan penyidikan. Kami juga memberikan apresiasi kepada Polri yang cepat tanggap dan responsif dalam menangani kasus tersebut," terangnya di Aula Bank Indonesia Cabang Kendari, Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin, Kamis (16/5/2013).

Pelimpahan LHP ke kepolisian, kata Agus, untuk memperjelas apa yang telah ditemukan pihak PPATK. "Penyidikan merupakan domain Polri, bukan PPATK lagi, kami hanya mendukung tugas kepolisian. Artinya, jika dalam penyidikan yang dilakukan pihak Polri membutuhkan tambahan data, maka bisa meminta kepada kami. Kami siap untuk membantu dan membongkar tuntas kasus ini," katanya.

Namun, ia juga menegaskan bahwa hasil penelusuran yang dilakukan PPATK selama ini belum tentu termasuk dalam tindak kejahatan. "Kami hanya melakukan penelusuran sebagai bukti, kalau masalah hal ini masuk dalam kejahatan atau tidak, itu tugas pihak kepolisian yang akan memperjelas mana yang tindak kejahatan dan bukan," tegasnya.

Sebelumnya, Komisi Kepolisian Nasional (Kompolnas) akan menelusuri rekening gendut milik Aiptu Labora Sitorous di Polres Sorong, Papua. Kompolnas akan meminta Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Keuangan (PPATK) membongkar aliran dana anggota kepolisian itu. Labora diduga memiliki rekening hingga Rp 1,5 triliun dari hasil bisnis yang diduga ilegal logging
